Cambridge is well connected to several London airports, making it easy to reach by train, coach, or car. It is advisable to plan your journey in advance and check connections before travelling.
From London Stansted to Cambridge
London Stansted is the nearest international airport to Cambridge, located just 30 miles to the South of the city, with easy access by train (direct rail link to Cambridge), coach (cheapest option), or car (M11). EasyJet and Ryanair fly from Stansted.
From London Luton to Cambridge
London Luton is approximately 40 miles away. You can travel via the Luton Airport DART to Luton Airport Parkway station and then continue by train via London or connecting routes to Cambridge. Direct coach services are also available via National Express (cheapest option).
From London Heathrow to Cambridge
London Heathrow is around 70 miles from Cambridge and serves a wide range of international destinations. Take the Heathrow Express to London Paddington, then take the London Underground (“tube”) to London Kings Cross. You will need a Circle Line or Hammersmith and City train going Eastbound. From London Kings Cross, take the train to Cambridge. The Heathrow Express is quicker into central London than taking the tube all the way, but does involve more changes.
From London Gatwick to Cambridge
Take the train to London Victoria, then take the London Underground (“tube”) to London Kings Cross. You will need a Victoria Line or train going Northbound. From London Kings Cross, take the train to Cambridge.
